The mission

People do not need more information. They need a structure that holds.

Body Ops is a fitness and health coaching practice built to help service members, veterans, and the wider communities your organization serves feel better in their bodies and function better in their lives.

We designed it around the barriers military populations actually face: service-connected disability, old injuries, chronic pain, mental health, and age-related limitations. Coaching meets people where they are, builds confidence safely, and focuses on progress they can feel. Less pain, more energy, better sleep, better movement, and a sense of momentum again.

We stay in our lane. Delivery is health education and fitness instruction, with clear boundaries, psychologically safe design, and physically appropriate programming.

Matt Priess, Marine Corps veteran and owner of Body Ops Coaching

"I built it because I hit rock bottom after service, physically broken, mentally lost, and ashamed of what I saw in the mirror."

Matt Priess, Owner and President

What structured programs produce

When a coached program is actually delivered and people stay in it, the results show up in the numbers agencies already track.

+0%

improvement in cardiorespiratory fitness among 5,703 participants in an Army workplace health promotion program

Rivera LO, et al., American Journal of Health Promotion, 2018

-0%

change in body fat across the same cohort, alongside a 6 to 12 percent drop in perceived stress

Rivera LO, et al., American Journal of Health Promotion, 2018

0%

decline in musculoskeletal injury referral odds in brigades with embedded health and fitness teams

Thompson AG, et al., Sports Medicine, 2026

0

duty days restored per brigade per year in the same evaluation, with a 4 to 1 or better return in 99 percent of modeled cases

Thompson AG, et al., Sports Medicine, 2026

What your organization receives

We take care of the program so you can take care of your people.

Body Ops organizes and fulfills the work from program design through delivery and reporting. Your organization gets one accountable partner, and the people you serve get consistent support.

  1. 01

A complete program designed around your population, priorities, schedule, and delivery environment.

  2. 02

Live virtual delivery that expands access, with on-site classes available when the contract requires them.

  3. 03

Credentialed practitioners selected for the scope, with qualifications verified before placement.

  4. 04

Programming that can be scaled for different abilities, age groups, fitness levels, and specialized cohorts.

  5. 05

Participant communication, scheduling, coaching, and support managed as part of the service.

  6. 06

Built-in accountability that keeps people engaged instead of leaving your staff to drive participation.

  7. 07

Consistent delivery, attendance tracking, and aggregated reporting from one accountable vendor.

The gap from engagement to outcome

The programs exist. The follow-through does not.

Availability is not the issue. Engagement and retention are. Accountability is the missing infrastructure.

VA MOVE! program0.0 lb

Littman AJ, et al., Preventing Chronic Disease, 2012. Wadden TA, et al., Obesity, 2009. Uusitupa M, et al., Nutrients, 2019.

More than half of MOVE! participants had two visits or fewer. Most participants never receive enough dose to change an outcome. Body Ops is designed as the non-clinical accountability layer that closes that gap.
